The tour with a beautiful panoramic view of the Mostviertel region leads via the basilica on Sonntagberg. The tour starts in Waidhofen/Ybbs and leads to St. Leonhard am Walde.

The starting point for this hike is Schloss Rothschild in Waidhofen an der Ybbs. Via Rehau, the route heads towards Windhag - directly opposite the Sonntagberg basilica and with a rewarding 360° view. This is followed by a descent into the Luegergraben and to Böhlerwerk railroad station. After the railroad underpass, the path branches off to the left onto the Sonntagberg (sign 04A). Past the "Kahlenberg" and "Kaiserhof" farmsteads, then through the forest, you reach the basilica on the Sonntagberg. The baroque pilgrimage church was begun between 1705 and 1718 according to plans by Jakob Prandtauer and completed by 1732 by Josef Munggenast. Past the cemetery, the route continues along the road with a turn-off to the Sandlehen house and along a beautiful driveway and meadow path you reach the "Mostviertler Panoramastraße". This road takes you to St. Leonhard am Walde.
